Description

Marjoram is similar in appearance to oregano. Marjoram a small aromatic shrub that grows to a height of approximately 2 feet. There are about 30 different species..

Uses

It is routinely paired with basil in tomato and pasta meals. The fresh leaves are stripped from the stem and chopped or snipped.

Marjoram is believed to ease migraines, car sickness, insomnia and bronchitis.

Serving Ideas

Marjoram is used fresh, dried, and ground. Marjoram has a slightly more mellow flavor than oregano. Marjoram is used to season tomato-based dishes, salad dressings, sauces, stuffing, vegetables (onion, spinach, zucchini, eggplant), fish, seafood, legumes, meat, eggs,poultry, delicatessen meats.
